I noticed there was a serious lack of good Dark Materials fanart on the net, and being that I've just reread the series, I decided to add my share. So... ya. Mrs. Coulter. I always imagined her with an almost 40's-ish flair. But that's just me. The monkey is stupid. I hate the monkey.
Ya'll can keep your Harry Potter and J. K. Rowling! Philip Pullman is da man!
(Characters copyright Philip Pullman blah blah blah)
Word. I am informed. It must be that damned monkey's mind control. =_= I love the way you did her coat and her snooty expression. She looks great in your style.
Wow, it look sso different colored. I still can't get over the black hair thing. Even with this drawing, I keep imagining it golden-blonde. I love this picture(s)
Whoa...this is awesome! Mrs. Coulter is among my fav characters in HDM. And I completely agree with you - there isn't enough fanart for this book. I think I saw one. I loved the golden monkey, but it was more of a "love to hate" kinda thing. It creeped me out, but it was cool.
